Torchcraft ~ The Magic & Making of Mullein Torches

There is something wonderfully ancient about gathering around fire, working with our hands, and creating something from the plants growing alongside us.

Join Lauren of The Healer’s Toolmaker at Om2Ohm Wellness Sanctuary for an afternoon of plant lore, firecraft, creativity, and connection as we explore the beautiful and fascinating mullein plant and the traditional craft of creating a mullein torch.

Lauren will share some of the history, folklore, practical uses, and old-world associations surrounding mullein before demonstrating how these striking botanical torches are made.

Then it will be your turn.

Each participant will create a mullein torch of their own to take home, transforming the dried flower stalk into something both beautiful and useful—a little piece of handmade firecraft created with intention.

We’ll also light a completed torch together so everyone can experience how it burns, gather around the flame, and share a group blessing for the torches we’ve created before carrying them home.

No previous experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity, your hands, and perhaps a little willingness to remember that humans have been gathering around plants and fire for a very, very long time.
